Racial attack - man hit in face

BROMSGROVE police are investigating a racially aggravated assault in Bromsgrove and are appealing for the public's help.

A group of males racially abused a 17-year-old Asian youth, one of whom hit him in the face, causing minor grazes.

An 18-year-old friend then intervened and was also hit in the face.

The 18-year-old male was taken to the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch, and released after treatment for a suspected broken nose.

The incident happened in Hanover Street at around midnight on Saturday, April 5, but police have only recently released the details.

The main offender was white, aged 15 to 17, slim, with short light-coloured hair, wearing a dark coloured sports top, a Kickers t-shirt, navy blue or black drawstring-waist tracksuit bottoms and Nike trainers.
