A CATSHILL mother has contacted the Advertiser/Messenger to thank a woman who came to the aid of her two teenage sons involved in a horrific car crash.
On April 29, at about 6pm, a Peugeot 106 collided with two parked vehicles and a telegraph pole in Perryfields Road, Bromsgrove.
As petrol leaked from the car, with the danger of the car blowing up, an unknown woman rushed to the aid of Ashley and Samuel Causer, helping to drag them away from the Peugeot.
The quick-thinking woman then called the emergency services, put 15-year-old Samuel in the recovery position while he was unconscious, and wrapped 19-year-old Ashley up in blankets.
Tracy Causer, mother of the pair from Byron Way, Catshill, described the scene as "horrific" on her arrival, and said she was told by police, the woman's actions potentially saved their lives.
The pair were taken to the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch, with Samuel suffering severe bruising, cracked ribs and whiplash, while Ashley was treated for a couple of fractured ribs. Three other people in the vehicle at the time escaped with minor injuries.
Tracy commented: "They are so lucky to have got out alive. It must have been motherly instinct.
"There was no time to thank her when it happened, and I have no way of contacting the woman.
"I would love to see her again as I can't thank her enough. It could have been a lot worse."
Tracy added she hoped an appeal in her local paper would lead to a meeting with the woman, and give her the chance to present flowers.
All that is known about the woman is that she came to the rescue from a house in Perryfields Road.
