A RUBERY student, who turned her back on teaching to follow her dream career in fashion, has been awarded a medal of excellence.
Stephanie Brewster decided to turn her back on a teaching job to follow her passion for fashion. Stephanie's tutor put forward a portfolio of her work to be considered for a City and Guilds Gold medal of excellence, which is awarded to students who display exceptional standards and whose achievements stand out from the crowd. Stephanie was chosen from thousands of students to receive the prestigious award, which has led her to enrol on a HND in fashion and textiles.
“Although I enjoyed teaching, at the age of 25 I decided life is too short. I feel really pleased to receive this award, especially as I was chosen out of so many other students.”
