POLICE are asking motorists to take steps to protect their vehicles following several thefts last weekend.
There were six cases of thefts from cars in Hagley, Romsley and Rubery, between July 11 and July 13.
Two laptops, sat nav equipment, a camera, wallets and credit cards were taken from the vehicles.
Windows were smashed to gain entry, although two of the vehicles were thought to have been left unlocked.
Crime risk manager PC Stan Baker said: "Vehicles are often a person's most expensive possession, after their home. Vehicle owners should remove valuables, especially things such as laptops, MP3 players and sat nav equipment from unattended cars."
Crime prevention advice is available on the community safety section of West Mercia police's website at www.westmercia.police.uk
