Concern is growing for a missing man from West Yorkshire who has not returned from a countryside walk.
Richard Lucas, 60, is believed to be in the Cumbria area after he went walking in the Lake District on Thursday morning.
He is possibly in the Scafell area, police said.
He was reported missing from his home in West Yorkshire just before midnight on the same day.
Searches and enquiries are underway while some have already been carried out at various locations.
Mountain rescue teams have been out looking for Richard in the Seathwaite and Eskdale areas.
Richard is described as being 6ft 2” tall, of a slim build, with white hair.
Officers are concerned for his welfare.
Cumbria Constabulary has urged anyone who thinks they might have seen Richard – whether in the fells in Cumbria or elsewhere – to call officers immediately on 999.
