A BUSY stretch of the A38 Redditch Road in Bromsgrove will be partially closed for three weeks while major reconstruction work on the road’s foundations are carried out, drivers have been warned.
From October 20, the road will be closed to southbound traffic from the island near Morrisons to the Hanbury Turn crossroads at Stoke Heath. A diversion for light vehicles will be set up via Austin Road and Wheatridge Road. Heavy goods vehicles will be diverted through the town centre via Rock Hill. Bollards at the junction of Buntsford Hill will be removed for the duration of the work to allow access from Redditch Road.
A large mobile sign will be used to warn drivers of the intended work and possible delays a week before the start date.
