IT was full steam ahead at a popular rally, which had to be cancelled due to September’s floods.
This year’s Hanbury steam rally featured the usual mix of vintage and classic cars, motorbikes, farm tractors, military vehicles, stationary engines and caravans.
As a first this year, the rally included the world’s biggest note organ and a unique Chester steam fire pump from the 1880s. The event also included stalls selling toys, games, memorabilia and model cars.
Keith Shakespeare, one of the organisers, said: “We were pleased with this year’s event. Considering it was reorganised, it was well supported.”
Keith added that next year’s event would be going back to its traditional late summer slot.
