A SPORTS scheme run by the district council has been recognised for its work with town groups.
A part of Bromsgrove District Council’s sports development programme, which works with childcare groups across the district, was runner up for the community activities award at the Sainsbury’s Active Kids Youth Sport Trust Awards in London, on February 25.
Leader of Bromsgrove District Council, Councillor Roger Hollingworth, said: “I’m pleased to see our sports development team recognised for the work they do.
“It shows as a council we are improving not only in terms of value for money and efficiency but also providing access to good quality services.”
