Cyclist dies in Belbroughton

A CYCLIST has died following a road traffic collision in Belbroughton.

The incident happened just before 5.30pm on Saturday, July 4 on the A491 Stourbridge Road.

The dead man, who was in his 60s, was in collision with a blue Nissan Micra.

A land ambulance, air ambulance and BASICS doctor were all called to the incident and, despite their best efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say it is vital that anyone who saw either the cyclist or the Nissan Micra prior to the collision calls them as soon as possible so they can uncover the circumstances which led to the collision.
