Joanne Malin visits Fairfield First School's Fete

BBC WM’s Joanne Malin was the guest of honour at the Fairfield First School Fete held last month.

Visitors managed to avoid most of the bad weather and had a great time on the day, with Joanne being presented with a bouquet of flowers.

Parent Clive Bullock said: “The evening was a great success thanks to the hard work put in by the PTA committee and many of the parents, teachers and children at the school.”

He added the total amount of money raised was not known at the time of going to press but it will go a long way to helping buy new equipment and many other items for the benefit of the school's children.
