POLICE have named the cyclist who died in a road traffic collision in Belbroughton at the weekend.
He has been formally identified as 61-year-old David Coldicott from Halesowen.
He received fatal injuries when the cycle he was riding was in collision with a blue Nissan Micra at around 5.25pm on Saturday 4 July on the A491 in Belbroughton.
Pc Tom Symonds from North Worcestershire’s Road Policing Unit said: “This must be a very difficult time for Mr Coldicott’s family and friends and our thoughts go out to them.
“We have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision and we would urge any witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to get in touch with us at the road policing unit as soon as possible.
“Even the smallest detail can make a significant difference to our enquiries, so please call in if you have any information at all relating to this incident.”
