Fun at a Bromsgrove leisure centre

CHILDREN’S holiday activities at a Bromsgrove leisure centre have been extended for the summer holidays.

Fundayz activities, being held at the Dolphin Centre, in School Lane, were to be run as half days for children aged five to eight, but they will now be available all day, everyday, for youngsters aged five to 14.

The activities, run by Bromsgrove District Council, offer fun based on a different topic each week, including animal and movies themes.

The district council is also running a variety of activities to entertain youngsters this summer, including the street theatre, events in Sanders Park, music performances on the Jubilee Bandstand, swimming at the Dolphin Centre, week-long sports and skills programmes, arts and crafts events, tennis sessions, and sports coaching sessions.

All the information on the events is available in Bromsgrove District Council’s summer brochure Go 4 Fun, part of Together Bromsgrove which is set to be delivered throughout the district in July.

Bromsgrove District Council leader Councillor Roger Hollingworth said: “Once again the council has put on a full programme of fun events and activities for all the family.

“Residents told us this is an area they want to see more investment in, so this is what we have done.”
