A DRIVEN youngster from Tardebigge has passed his driving test just 12 days after his 17th birthday.
Oliver Wall, who lives in Brockhill Lane, has grown up driving at the family farm, having been behind the wheel of tractors, motorbikes and quad bikes.
Oliver’s first time on public roads was on his 17th birthday, on Sunday, January 17, with Bromsgrove Pass Drive instructor, Chris Bridge.
Oliver took and passed his theory test, just four days later, on Thursday, January 21, and went onto have an intense course of lessons in the week before his test. Held in Redditch, Oliver passed his test first time on January 29.
Oliver said: “It was an intense course of lessons, but worth it. Before my test I was quietly confident, but just didn’t want to say.”
Oliver added that as an apprentice carpet fitter, he wanted to pass so he didn’t have to be driven around by his parents.
Chris said: “I only saw him six times. He had the basic knowledge, but needed the experience.
“I found him to be a charming and level headed young adult.
“After his test, the instructor came up to me and said how impressed he was. It is a heck of an achievement.”
