A MAN charged with the murder of a pensioner at his Rednal home had admitted manslaughter.
Cory Youlden, 22, of no fixed address, did not appear at Worcester Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing.
But his barrister, Elizabeth Montgomery, submitted the new plea on his behalf and said it would reduce the trial in February from 10 days to five.
Youlden is accused of killing 83-year-old Paul Cox, of Waseley Road, Rednal, on June 3.
