BUDDING scientists from a Bromsgrove school have visited the world's largest particle physics laboratory.
In March, sixth form students from Bromsgrove School, in Worcester Road, took a trip to Switzerland to explore the Large Hadron Collider at the European Organisation for Particle Research, CERN.
They were treated to a guided tour by members of the scientific community, among them some of the most talented physicists involved in ground-breaking research at the centre.
The youngsters also had the chance to explore the futuristic particles exhibition, and dine alongside some of the physicists currently undertaking the research in to how the universe was formed.
There was also a chance for the pupils to go on a tour of the United Nations Headquarters, in Geneva, and afterwards an exploration of the city centre and a walk along the banks of the famous Lake Geneva.
