BROMSGROVE Carnival is coming up at the beginning of July with plans afoot for the fun to take over the town.

Traffic around Sanders Park and Kidderminster Road is likely to be affected on Saturday, July 7 with temporary road closures in place for the carnival parade.

The parade will be starting from the Artrix at midday, travelling via School Drive, Stratford Road, High Street, St John Street and Kidderminster Road before reaching Sanders Park by 1pm for live music, fun and games, and the culmination of the Timberhonger 10k run.

Places are still open to take part in the carnival parade.

Parade organizer, Rory Shannon said: “It's not too late to get involved; there are two ways you can take part, by organizing a walking group or by decorating a carnival trolley”

Interested clubs, groups or businesses can contact Mr Shannon at bromsgrovecarnivalparade@live.co.uk or call him on 07527 724088.

He added: “It's free to enter and we have a sporting theme this year, folks can see what we got up to last year by visiting our website www.bromsgrovecarnival.org”
