Bromsgrove community base for elderly given generous donation

A BROMSGROVE community base for the elderly has been given a boost after receiving a gift from a kind-hearted Bromsgrove resident.
Earlier this year the base was hit by the theft of a bench and plastic table and chair set.
Fred Stanley said he saw the story in the Advertiser, which motivated him to act.
The Sidemoor resident said: “When I saw the story I said ‘this isn’t right, the old people keep losing out'.
“So I donated a three seater bench, and a four chair patio set.”
Fred said he hoped someone would now support the Shac with better security, to prevent future thefts.
“Hopefully someone will help them out, and donate security equipment, like cameras, to stop the thefts happening again,” he added.
