BROMSGROVE MP Sajid Javid recently visited Bromsgrove Asda to discuss promoting healthy eating in local schools.
He met store manager Nigel Palmer, and the community life representative Dawn Baylis, and was happy to see the progress that had been made.
He said: “I was impressed by the amount of time and effort that Asda staff have put into this very worthwhile initiative, and I am sure that it will be well-received by local schools and students”.
While at Asda, Mr Javid also discussed the possibility of holding open advice surgeries at the store, which would make surgery appointments with him even more accessible.
After this discussion, the MP said: “As well as my office-based surgeries and street surgeries, I also plan to hold open surgeries in Asda.
“This will be a valuable way of making myself available to more of my constituents at their convenience, and I look forward to holding my first Asda surgery.”
