Marlbrook Tip meeting to be held
8:50am Wednesday 8th August 2012 in News
A MEETING to give residents the latest information on the planning issues associated with Marlbrook Tip has been scheduled.
Bromsgrove District Council has organised a public meeting to be held on Monday, September 24 at Lickey Parish Hall.
The meeting will start at 7pm and be attended by district council members for Marlbrook, Councillor Brian Cooper and Councillor John Ruck.
The district council’s portfolio holder for planning, Councillor Kit Taylor, and head of planning and regeneration, Ruth Bamford, will also attend.
The council is apparently maintaining a relationship with the site owner and is monitoring on-site buildings and working on landscaping options to improve the topography of the area. Engagement with the Marlbrook Tip Monitoring Group and Lickey Hills Society is also on-going.
An investigation previously revealed how significantly more material was taken to Marlbrook Tip than had been allowed by planning permission.
Ruth Bamford said: “Residents will know that we have committed to holding these regular meetings to keep them informed on what is happening, because there is nothing quite like discussing the issues face to face. We would invite people to put this next meeting date in their diaries.”
