Lawnmowers and tools worth £2,500 stolen from Belbroughton garage

WITNESSES and information are being sought by the police following the theft of more than £2,500 worth of lawn mowers and tools from a garage in Belbroughton.

It happened between 1am and 8am on Friday, August 3, at a property in Bonfire Hill.

Thieves broke into the garage and stole a sit-on lawn mower worth £2,000, a small lawn mower worth £200, a petrol strimmer worth £150, a hedge cutter worth £150, a petrol rotavator worth £150, two video recorders worth £50 each and a pair of skis.

PC Alan Poole said: "The thievves would probably have needed a good sized vehicle to transport all of these items and therefore we would like to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious looking vehicles in the area on Friday morning.

"Anyone offered items for sale similar to those stolen should call police at Hagley as soon as possible."

Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact PC Poole on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident 80-S-030812, or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
