A MAN has been seriously injured when a car overturned this lunchtime.
The crash occurred on Lilley Green Road, Alvechurch at around 12.20pm.
An ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham, and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find a car that had overturned and had come to rest on its roof in the road.
“The driver of the car, a man believed to be in his 30s suffered serious head, pelvic and hand injuries and was trapped in the vehicle. The man received emergency treatment and his condition was
stabilised whilst he was removed from the car.
“The man was trapped for around 45 minutes. He was then airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further emergency treatment.
“The hospital had been pre-alerted to the mans arrival and his serious injuries. Unfortunately, the mans injuries are considered life threatening.”
