Local history group inviting residents to next meeting

THE local history group of the Bromsgrove Society is inviting residents to the first in its winter series of talks.

On September 18, Julian Hunt will present Bromsgrove - A Town on the Road.

The talk will illustrate Bromsgrove as a thoroughfare, a town that made money from the travellers who passed through.

After this, the next talk in the series will be The Life of a Metal Detector by Bob Burton, being held on October 16.

The history group’s talks begin at 7.45pm, and are held at the Methodist Centre, in Stratford Road.
