Bromsgrove martial arts academy raises £1,000 for charity

STUDENTS from a Bromsgrove martial arts academy have made a generous donation to a cancer charity.

The group from Verve Martial Arts has been involved in a number of fund-raising events in the past year including Race For Life, raffles, cake bake sales and the sale of Verve Martial Arts t-shirts.

The students' fantastic efforts helped raise £1,000, which is to be donated to Cancer Research UK.

John Swift, a club instructor said, “It has been a great team effort for a particularly worthy cause.

“Special thanks has to go out to all of the students involved and everyone who has supported and made donations.”

More fund-raising activities are planned for later in the year.
