A BIG-HEARTED town youngster was kept busy during his summer holidays in organising a charity night which raised hundreds of pounds.
Fantastic fund-raiser Gregor Leckie, only 11-years-old, was set four challenges over the summer by his school.
One of the challenges was to do something for charity, which led the Oakalls resident to organise a fund-raising quiz night in Bromsgrove.
The event gathered momentum, with a number of generous raffle prizes being donated for the night.
The quiz, called a Question of Sport after being inspired by the Olympics, was held at Bromsgrove Rugby Club on August 17.
The King Edward VI Five Ways School pupil produced the questions for the quiz, which was attended by more than 50 people.
The night proved a massive success and so far, adding together what was raised on the night and on a justgiving website set up by the youngster, more than £800 has been raised.
The money is being donated to the Cure Parkinson's Trust; chosen, Gregor said, as his granddad was tragically struck down with the disease.
He added that the fund-raising was his way of helping people affected in the future.
Mum, Nicole, said the family are really proud of Gregor and says it would be brilliant if he could raise even more.
Anyone who wants to make a donation can do so on his fund-raising website, justgiving.com/Gregor-Leckie.
