A BROMSGROVE sport club’s summer fete, that had to be cancelled in July, has been rearranged to take place this Sunday, September 23.

Bromsgrove Cricket, Hockey and Tennis Club was due to hold its fourth annual summer fete at its home off St Godwald’s Road on July 15, but heavy rain made the grounds unsuitable to hold the event.

The rearranged summer fete will include all the activities originally planned for the July fete including a bouncy castle, tombola, a raffle, face painting, tattoos, and a cake stall.

After this summer’s Olympics, Paul Hutchings will be bringing his Olympic torch to the event and a community games has been organised.

This will include the chance to play various sports activities.

The event will also include a car boot for the first time, a BBQ, pig roast, coconut shy and all day bar.

All proceeds from the fete will go towards the club, supporting each of its sport sections.

The event is being held between noon-4pm.
