TOWNSFOLK are being encouraged to take time out and enjoy a cuppa at the Bromsgrove branch of a bank, and support a cancer charity in the process.

Bromsgrove Barclays is holding a Macmillan Coffee morning on Friday, September 28.

Town MP Sajid Javid will be attending the event to show his support from 11am.

Staff at the branch will be serving a slice of something sweet and a cuppa at the event, part of Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

David Hawthorn, branch manager, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting Macmillan’s coffee morning again this year.

“The Macmillan team do a fantastic job supporting everyone affected by cancer so it is a pleasure to be able to support them.

“We’re really looking forward to inviting the local community to join us for such a good cause.”
