Townsfolk encouraged to donate items to charity collection

GENEROUS townsfolk are being encouraged to donate items to a charity collection in Bromsgrove.

A collection of tools, bicycles and spare parts, sewing and knitting machines, cotton fabric and scissors, is being held this weekend.

Tools for carpentry, plumbing, motor mechanics, blacksmithing, metalwork and engineering, cobblers and upholstery are also needed.

The Collection for Africa is being run by All Saints Church, in Burcot Lane.

Items can be handed in this Saturday, September 29, between 10am-5pm, and this Sunday, between noon and 4pm.

The tools will be sent to Workaid, a charity which renovates tools and sends them to communities in Africa.

If possible, people are asked to make a small donation to the charity when they donate the items, to help pay towards the shipping costs.
