TOWNSFOLK are reminded there is still time to register for a charity walk being held this Sunday, (September 30).
The Stroke Association’s Step Out fund-raiser is taking place at Sanders Park, off Kidderminster Road, between 1-5pm.
Walkers set off at 2pm on a route designed by the charity, but the total distance of the walk is left open for people to set themselves.
Throughout the afternoon there will be a selection of stalls, activities, refreshments, and music to keep all the family entertained.
Money raised from the event will be donated to the charity which is the only UK-wide charity solely concerned with combating stroke in people of all ages.
The charity opened its first ever multi-million pound Life After Stroke Centre in Church Lane, earlier this year.
Claire Benfield, from the association, said “There is still time to sign up.
“You can call us or come down and sign up on the day.
“Come along and join in the fun.“
Registration for the event is £5, and walkers are encouraged to get sponsorship from family and friends.
