Folk singer appearing at Bromsgrove folk club

FOLK fans are being treated to a performance from a folk singer who is making his first appearance at a town club.

The Teeside Troubadour, Vin Garbutt, will be performing at Bromsgrove Folk Club, on Thursday, October 11.

Garbutt, who has been at the forefront of his profession for more than 40 years, takes his audience on a rollercoaster of emotions from side-splitting laughter to tears of sadness and back again.

He recently appeared at this year’s Shrewsbury Folk Festival.

Although he has never performed at Bromsgrove Folk Club before, town audiences have previously been entertained by him during appearances at Avoncroft Museum.

The event is being held at Bromsgrove Folk Club’s home, Catshill Social Club in Meadow Road.

Doors open at 7.45pm, in time for an 8.15pm start for the music.

Admission is £6 for members, £8 for non-members.
