New edition of magazine for older town residents launched
1:30pm Thursday 4th October 2012 in News
THE new edition of a free magazine designed especially for older people in Bromsgrove has been launched.
UK Older People’s Day, on October 1, was celebrated at a special event held at the Spadesbourne Suite and organised by Bromsgrove Older People’s Forum, Bromsgrove Partnership and Bromsgrove District Council.
The event included informative exhibitions from organisations including Age UK, Greenscope, Act on Energy and the Citizen’s Advice Bureau, music and socialising over tea and cake.
At the event the new edition of Together Bromsgrove Plus was launched.
The second edition magazine is full of useful articles and includes a directory packed with relevant contact information for support, social and activity groups for older residents.
Together Bromsgrove Plus will be sent out to homes across the district in November, with the council’s magazine Together Bromsgrove.
Copies will also be available from the Customer Service Centre, in School Drive.
