Receptionist swaps telephone for trainers in charity bid

A RECEPTIONIST from a Bromsgrove veterinary surgery is taking to the streets later this month, to take part in the Great Birmingham Run.
Fiona Quinn, who works at Townsend Veterinary Practice is hoping to complete the 13.1 mile run to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
She said: “The reason I am taking part in Birmingham's Great Run is in memory of so many friends and family who have been lost over the years to this terrible disease, but more importantly in celebration of a wonderful friend of mine who has shown amazing courage and strength in recovering from lung cancer this year. She is a remarkable lady who has dealt with the diagnosis and treatment with utter selflessness and always with a smile on her face.”
