Appeal for witnesses after man sexually assaulted in Cofton Hackett

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was sexually assaulted in a village near Bromsgrove.

The incident occurred at approximately 2.30pm on Thursday, October 4, in Cofton Hackett.

The vicitim, a man in his 20s was sitting in a van on Kendal End Road, when he noticed a burgundy Ford Mondeo estate pulling up.

A man, who is thought to have been in his late 60s, got out of the car and started talking to him, before sexually assaulting him.

The victim then drove away from the scene and parked his van in nearby Cofton Church Lane. He noticed the same Ford Mondeo had followed him there, where it remained parked behind his van for approximately 15 minutes before eventually driving away.

The offender is described as white, about 5ft 10ins tall, with a large build. He was clean shaven, with white balding hair, very well spoken, and he walked with a limp. He was wearing a green and grey tweed jacket, with beige trousers and brown shoes.

Investigating officer, Pc Andy Wright said: "We are eager to hear from anyone who thinks they saw this man or his car in the area on Saturday.

"As he did say he was local to the area it is possible that someone may recognise him from the description."
