Bromsgrove bonfire celebrations set to go with a bang
12:00pm Monday 15th October 2012 in News
ORGANISERS of this year’s Bromsgrove bonfire night are promising fireworks next month.
The event, being held at Sanders Park off Kidderminster Road, is being held on Saturday, November 3.
From 5pm townsfolk can enjoy a fun fair and live music from Abbadabbadoo, one of the UK’s leading Abba tribute bands, supported by local singer Keri Whip.
The bonfire is scheduled to be lit at 7pm, and following this there will be the traditional fireworks display.
Councillor Mike Webb, whose portfolio covers leisure and cultural services, said: “I can’t wait to celebrate bonfire night in style by visiting Sanders Park for the firework spectacular.
“Everyone is welcome to get into the autumn spirit and watch us light up the sky this November.”
Admission to the park costs £5 per adult, £3 per child, and is free for under twos.
Alternatively, a family ticket of two adults and two children can be purchased for £14.
Tickets are being made available to buy from a special council High Street stall, in the run up to the evening.
The stall will be open every Friday and Saturday, leading up to the big night.
Tickets are also available from the Customer Service Centre and Primrose Hospice’s outlets.
There will be no on site parking at the event.
