Do something amazing and give blood

RESIDENTS are being asked to do something amazing and give blood.

NHS Blood and Transplant is appealing for volunteers to attend a session in Alvechurch to help meet the demand for blood from local hospitals.

The session is on November 1 at St Laurence Church between 1.45pm and 4pm then again from 5pm to 7.30pm.

Anyone thinking of going is being urged to call 0300 1232323 to book an appointment.

A spokesman from NHS Blood and Transplant said: “With just four per cent of the eligible population giving blood, we always need new donors.”
