Pathway poser

BROMSGROVE District Council is to begin procedures to fence off the footpath that runs alongside Meadows/Parkside school at their planning meeting on April 21, so there is not much time (that's convenient!) to make your feelings known.

This is an important thoroughfare and is well-used. There was a promise to retain it in the original plans in recognition of its importance. That will not stop the local ouncil closing it now.

The so called alternative route will not serve the same purpose and will be unused and unsafe. This was avoidable and the result of dubious planning decisions in the past.

Unfortunately the people affected will not be able to make their feelings known in the ballot box because none of the committee represents the area.

Democracy in action!
