WHAT a pleasure it is to say thank you to the guests who attended the Discussion Forum on the development of Bromsgrove Town Centre held at Avoncroft Arts Centre, Stoke Heath.
Guest speakers Councillor Roger Hollingworth (leader of Bromsgrove District Council) and Allan Stokes (strategy and policy manager, Worcestershire County Council)acquitted themselves in an exemplary manner. The audience were well informed of the proposals, with a good explanation for the need to change, the rationale, the difficulties to be recognised.
It is so easy to criticise if you are unaware of the whole picture, however the knowledge imparted resulted in some informed observations at the conclusion of the presentation. Everyone had the opportunity to voice their opinion, there was a general consensus of opinion that it had been most civilised, enjoyable and a welcome way to participate in the development of Bromsgrove Town Centre, believing together we can achieve a successful conclusion to a massive undertaking.

Our Member of Parliament, Julie Kirkbride, gave an overview of the national and local situation, expressing appreciation to Stoke Branch Conservative Association for arranging such an interesting and enjoyable evening. My personal thanks to phil Thomas, branch chairman and his band of willing helpers for making this possible.
