Car independence

RESPONDING to a letter about disabled drivers I wish to say my car enables me to be independent, I am in my seventies, disabled, and I have a blue badge for parking but also pay. I am a widow and like most pensioners after paying bills, running costs for my car, I do not have a large disposable income as many in employment do.
I assume N Watson hasn't a car, uses public transport to avoid being "inherently environmentally unfriendly", so will of course refuse any concessions, as they so obviously object to them.
