PERSONALLY I want to thank all our volunteers who turned out for the Rubery bi-annual litter pick and Neighbourhood Watch Promotion spring clean-up day last month.
The enthusiasm with which they tackled this event was great to see. Take for example, Brook Road Rec and in particular under the footbridge where six sacks of litter were collected.
It's great just to see this area currently free of litter and truly gave this fantastic spring-clean feel.

Thanks to Arthur and Maureen, Janette and Alan, Jane and Olivia. In the village and surrounding area we had some new volunteers such as Helen and Tom, Justin and Caroline as well as Rev Ian and Brian. It would be really good to see a bigger turn out for our autumn clean-up in September.
Contact me, Dave McGrath to register your availability.
I want also to thank Bromsgrove District Council refuse department for all the help in providing the materials and lastly a special thanks to George for taking me and the equipment down the village and collecting me later. I hope to be able to drive my car following my TKR' (total knee replacement) six weeks ago.
