HOW lovely that Jacqui Smith found time to meet the police and Neighbourhood Watch D' Division at Redditch and how nice of her to make them feel that they are a "much valued part of the police family" .
How easy it is to speak the words when you are a politician but what a pity her sympathy and understanding did not manifest itself in accepting the recommendations for our "Boys in blue" pay deal.
However, our politicians would do well to remember the old adage - You can fool some of them some of the time but you can't fool all of them all of the time'.
