BROMSGROVE Olympique Cycling Club put the blues and a row behind it when members sported their new colours. A 35-year tradition of mainly blue sports wear was traded for a white kit. The controversial decision to change the colour had been decided on by a single vote taken when one female member, who was against the move, was out of the room washing up.
AN ANGRY group of Rubery residents were celebrating after having stopped a funfair from using the Recreation Ground. PARENTS who had children at Parkside Middle School, in Bromsgrove, were, at an open evening, given a taste of the way lessons in the future would be taught. The school, in Stourbridge Road, was one of a just a few in the area which had computers.
