| PATRIOTIC FEVER: Wendy Stokes, Lyn Winters and Gill Dawson prepare for Primrose Hospice's St George's Day fundraising walk. |
PATRIOTIC Bromsgrove residents are being invited to a fundraising walk to celebrate St George's Day.
On Sunday, April 20, Primrose Hospice, which is in its 21st year, is hosting its annual walk over the Clent Hills as part of celebrations for St George's Day, on April 23.
There will be four walks for all abilities. Walk one is for wheelchairs and pushchairs, the second walk is a four mile circular walk over beautiful countryside, walk three is an eight mile circular walk, and finally, for the more adventurous, there is also a 16 mile challenge.
Dogs are welcome, but owners are asked to keep them under strict control, and unaccompanied walkers under 16-years-old must have parental permission.
Participants are asked to pay £5 to register and gain sponsors for the day, with any money raised being donated to the St Godwald's Road hospice. Organisers are hoping to beat last year's total of £7,000.
To register, or for further information, contact Lyn on 01527 875444.
Volunteers are also needed to run for the hospice in a charity 5km run in Cannon Hill Park, in Birmingham, on Sunday, April 27.
Registration is £20 and the hospice asks participants to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship.
To register call 01527 889795 or visit www.primrosehospice.org
