Round-up
Busy weekend for fire crews
BROMSGROVE firefighters were called out to deal with a burning stolen car in Stoke Pound.
Crews were called to the blue Vauxhall Vectra, which was on fire in Sugarbrook Lane last Saturday at 10.45pm.
The vehicle, which had been stolen earlier in the day in Hereford, was completely burnt out on arrival and police are investigating possible arson.
Another vehicle, a red Ford Escort van, was also damaged in the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Bromsgrove police on 08457 444888 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
On the same evening, fire crews went to a building site in Broad Street, Sidemoor, where a launderette had stood for many years. A mobile toilet was on fire and the blaze spread to a work cabin at around 2am. Crews extinguished the fire with a hose reel.
No one was injured in either incident.
