Easter trail of discovery

EASTER FUN: Leon Rastall, aged six, prepares for the Easter holiday events at Webbs.

AN Easter trail of discovery will lead youngsters through the riverside gardens at Webbs.

This is just one of a host of activities at the popular garden centre during the school holidays.

On Good Friday and this Saturday children can follow the free Easter egg trail through the picturesque gardens alongside the River Salwarpe at Wychbold with the encouragement of a free chocolate rabbit at the end of the journey.

During the week, from Tuesday, March 25, to Friday, March 28, as well as the riverside ramble, youngsters can enjoy even more activities.

Potting workshops always prove a big hit and once again children can join the hands-on activity from 10am-1pm potting seasonal plants into a basket to take home.

Webbs staff are on hand to guide youngsters through the planting so they can learn from the experience while having fun. Tickets are £4 per child, to include all plants and materials.

Children's entertainer Professor Pepperpot will be raising smiles with his balloon fun, free each day from 10am-2pm.

Young visitors will also be able to have their faces painted during the same times for £2 per child.

Fair rides will add a dash of excitement from 11am-4pm each day at £1.50 per ride.

Ed Webb, executive chairman, said: "The Easter holidays are an ideal time to get out in the fresh air and enjoy a saunter with the children round the riverside gardens, which are bursting with life at this time of year."
