POLICE, investigating a racially aggravated assault in Rubery, are appealing for the public's help.
The incident, which happened on Wednesday, March 19, began when a man and woman went into a shop and requested food.
When the member of staff refused to serve the man, as he had caused problems in the shop several weeks before, he started shouting and swearing at a staff member.

The victim, an Asian male,
received racial abuse, with comments on his accent, and the offender then hit the counter and spat at the man. The woman then persuaded the offender to leave.
“This man’s conduct in shouting, swearing at and racially abusing the member of staff was clearly unacceptable, even without the spitting."
PC Ed Banks, of Rubery police
The man is described as white, 6ft tall, slim, with a skinny face and light coloured eyebrows.
He was aged around 30, with a strong Birmingham accent, wearing a dark green baseball cap, navy hooded sweatshirt with dark green combat-style trousers.
PC Ed Banks, of Rubery police, said: "This man's conduct in shouting, swearing at and racially abusing the member of staff was clearly unacceptable, even without the spitting.
"There were other customers in the shop at the time of the offence and we would like to speak to them and anyone who knows who this man is."
Witnesses, or anyone with information, should contact PC Banks on 08457 444888, or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
