TOP tips on how best to weather future floods are to be published in a leaflet by Bromsgrove District Council.
Flooding Matters provides guidance and advice to support residents during the event or risk of flooding.
A whole host of tips from protecting property and abandoned vehicles, to disposing of waste and evacuation is contained in the leaflet, which also provides a helpful list of contact details for vulnerable residents to use.

"We want to support and help our residents as much as possible. This leaflet will go some way to help us do this.”
Phil Street, the council’s executive director for partnerships and projects
Phil Street, the council's executive director for partnerships and projects, said: "As a district council we have limited resources to meet every contingency - and it's not our statutory duty to do so, but we want to support and help our residents as much as possible. This leaflet will go some way to help us do this."
Those households that have experienced flooding will be sent a copy of the leaflet and details of possible support they could receive.
Mr Street added: "I hope this leaflet will help all our residents prepare for, and act safely, if any future flooding events arise."
Copies of the leaflet are available from the Customer Service Contact Centre, in School Drive, on www.bromsgrove.gov.uk or email your address to m.ashcroft@bromsgrove.gov.uk and they will send you one. Alternatively call 01527 881306.
