THERE was disruption for commuters yesterday (Wednesday, August 6) when a heavy goods lorry overturned on the M5.

Bromsgrove and Droitwich Spa firefighters were called to the incident northbound, near junction four, Lydiate Ash, at 2.30pm, after the lorry spilt diesel onto the central reservation.

The motorway was closed, causing heavy congestion on the M42, as motorists turned off. An environment protection unit was dispatched to clean up the area. No one was injured in the incident.
