A MIDLANDS technology company has announced the appointment of the former head of IT and operational support at Lloyds pharmacy.

Eddie Nicholas joins Crimson as transformation manager, where he will now work alongside the board to spearhead a new phase of development for the expanding firm.

Crimson provides consultancy, support, bespoke IT solutions and recruitment services and products to organisations in a wide variety of sectors throughout the UK and is an accredited Microsoft Gold Partner.

Managing director Rob Mallaband said: "We have ambitious plans in place and are embarking on a new phase of development and expansion in response to demands of a growing client base and opportunities around cloud technology and other areas.

“Eddie brings with him a huge amount of relevant experience and has an ideal skill set. We are confident he will prove to be a real asset as we enter this next stage of growth.”

Crimson has been trading over 12 years and generates a turnover of over £8 million. More than 40 staff are employed from a head office in Coleshill. Crimson operates nationally and counts Rexel - the global electrical supplies distributor, RS Components, the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee (PSNC), International Group of P&I Clubs and Severn Trent Water among its client base.

Mr Nicholas lives in Rugby and has two daughters. He is a keen swimmer and in his spare time he also enjoys cycling and playing pool.
