WORCESTER young minds will be creating a new Morgan and hoping to make themselves a name at a local The Apprentice-style game this week.

A Business Game for students is being staged at Worcester 6th Form College tomorrow.

The Business Game challenges students to take on the problems of business and solve real-life business and engineering problems.

Backed by Morgan and Jaguar Land Rover and recruitment specialists Hays, it will draw out the creativity and innovative skills of 90 students split into teams of seven.

They face the challenge of designing an exciting new look for the sought-after car while local business leaders will be quietly talent-spotting on the day.

Winners will receive a prize of a day to remember, meeting top figures at Morgan’s Malvern production centre, with goody bags and other prizes, and will have the chance to make connections to pave the way to a successful future career as “automotive rising stars”.

The Business Game is aimed at inspiring young minds to be “more than they thought they could be”, with mentoring by leading business gurus and keynote speakers including figures from Morgan, which launched its new Plus 8 in Geneva this year.

Organiser Celia Adams, an accounting turnaround specialist who helps rescue local companies from difficulties, said: “This will be an exciting day, run to tight deadlines and the opportunity to enthuse a new generation of managers.

“So many things are coming out of this event - everyone has pulled together to make it a great success. It will really get their creative juices going.”
