PHILIP Dunne MP dropped in to Ludlow Food Centre to congratulate the team on their award as UK Farm Retailer of the Year 2013.

It was voted by FARMA, The National Farmers’ Retail and Markets’ Association. The award was presented to managing director Edward Berry by Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall during a ceremony in Harrogate.

Mr Dunne said: “I am delighted that Ludlow Food Centre has been recognised as the UK’s Best Farm Shop, particularly as it comes at a time when consumers are looking to buy locally produced and sourced food.”

Mr Berry said: “I was proud to receive this award on behalf of the team here at Ludlow Food Centre. It is essentially the only recognised award in our industry and is great news for Ludlow.”
