ACCOUNTANTS not working directly within businesses are being offered a free annual update by the Midlands office of national audit, tax and advisory firm Crowe Clark Whitehill.

The update is designed to help meet the continuing professional development (CPD) needs of accountants working outside the profession, but will also appeal to those in industry and commerce who need to keep up to date with tax and VAT requirements.

The next morning update taking place in Wyre Forest is on Friday, November 7, at The Granary Hotel and Restaurant in Kidderminster.

Topics will take in current developments in company taxation, capital gains tax and personal tax for business owners, developments on employee taxation issues and VAT.

Rob Gunn, who heads the Midlands tax team, said: “Our updates will provide a valuable update for delegates on the latest business taxation issues while contributing to their compulsory annual CPD requirements.”

Martyn Ingles, a chartered accountant and a taxation specialist who is now a freelance training consultant and a regular lecturer for the professional sector, will be the guest speaker.
